I grew up in a family of small business owners. My dad drove a taxi in Hong Kong before moving to Toronto and opening his own video store, and my aunt built a printing business in California. What I remember most is how my dad treated his customers: he knew them by name and went out of his way to help. That's how I want to build products.

For almost a decade, I’ve designed across very different products and industries, working directly with product and engineering leaders to shape what we build. Each experience taught me to adapt quickly, but what stays the same is how I start: by understanding problems deeply.
